40 years! I’ve been a player, coach, and parent. And for the past 6+ years, it’s been my day-to-day career. As they say, love what you do and you’ll NEVER work a day in your life.

I’ve been a Fit Expert since we formed the group in July 2018. Like all great hockey teams, we’ve evolved into a highly efficient squad. Brent and I feed off each other well as we’re both goalies and understand that we need to be on our game every day. We’re constantly gaining new product knowledge and information to share with customers.

I’m from Boston so, no question, it’s the Boston Bruins. I’m thrilled I had the chance to see them win a Cup, although they should have won in 2013 and 2019 too. Talking about this still hurts.

Gee, what’s not to love about going to work and talking hockey and gear? Ha! Honestly, I will have to say the gratitude we get from customers is amazing. I’ve received cards thanking me for giving them the advice that helped their kid be more comfortable in the gear and in turn help their game. This is what I LOVE the most about being a Bauer Fit Expert!

My daughter is blessed enough to play Division 1 NCAA Woman’s Ice Hockey at Boston College. She had a great first year having led all freshman in blocked shots and 7 th in Hockey East. The team finished the regular season ranked number two in Hockey East and made the Elite 8 in the NCAA Woman’s Ice Hockey Tournament. It was refreshing to see them play pretty much every weekend from November to March. We all look forward to actually going to live games and watching them compete next season for the first time in person while in college.

I started ITZ Goaltending in 2011 and now have well over 40 students ranging from 8 to 25 years of age. I’ve also been fortunate to be the goalie coach for the East Coast Wizards organization out of Bedford, MA as well as the Haverhill Pentucket Youth Hockey organization. In 2012-2015, I was the goalie coach for the Salem State University Men’s Team, were I have had the privilege to coach an All-American goalie and two honorable mention goalies in NCAA Division III. I continue to coach goalies in both private and small group classes out of Haverhill, Massachusetts.

I’ve been playing hockey for almost 36 years and I’ve been in the hockey equipment industry for 20 years.

Between the Own the Moment store in Burlington, MA and working for Bauer Direct To Consumer, it’s been 4-and-a- half years.

I grew up an Edmonton Oilers fan.

I love working with players to find the best fit and model equipment to help improve their game.

I was a late round pick in the 1996 OHL draft and spent half a season as a backup goalie.

The Vapor is our low kickpoint, stiff blade core designed for quickness. The Nexus is our mid kickpoint medium stiff blade core designed for all around control.

The data today has shown us that Vapor and Nexus are equipped with diverse technologies to meet the needs of every player. We're confident that you can find the right stick for your game between these two families. Supreme is still available exclusively through MyBauer, our custom sticks platform.

For every inch you cut your stick, you change the flex by a factor of 3. For example if you cut a 50 flex junior stick one inch, it will become a 53 flex.

Fit 1 is low volume and will fit similar to Vapor D width, Fit 2 is medium volume and will fit similar to a Supreme D width, Fit 3 is high volume and will fit similar to the volume/depth of a Nexus with the width of a Supreme EE.

The largest stock skate available is a size 12. However, you can order a custom skate up to a size 15 through the MyBauer custom skate platform. Keep in mind that skate size is not always the same as shoe size; we encourage you to use our online Fit Tools or get Game Fit in store to find your optimal skate size.

On average Bauer skates will fit 1.5 sizes smaller than US men’s shoe size. Please note that other factors such as the overall profile of your foot, including width and depth, along with how snug you like to wear your skates will be key to knowing what model, size and fit will be best for you.
